Hi, I'm Katie! I'm the founder and lead nurse injecter at Newport Medical. I graduated from the University of Ottawa with a BScN in 2017 and began my career in oncology. Over the last several years I have continued to thrive in cancer care while also pursuing my love for aesthetics.  ​ I began training in the field of medical aesthetics in February 2020 with the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine in Toronto. I completed both my basic and advanced neurotoxin and filler technique training during that year, taking as many hands-on courses and practice days as I could, both in Ottawa and Toronto. During these months of training I was able to learn and refine my skills assessing and treating the whole face, using multiple modalities and techniques including both needle and cannula work. ​ In November of 2020, eager to start seeing patients of my own, Newport Medical was born. I started seeing patients in a small room in my house and have been working since to build a clientele of patients I genuinely enjoy seeing and treating.
